Day of Service
On April 13, nearly 150 alumni, parents and friends of the University gathered in California, shown below at right, Atlanta, Chicago, shown below at left, Boston, New York City, Harrisburg, Philadelphia, Dunmore, Washington, D.C., and Raleigh, North Carolina, for the Day of Service, an annual opportunity for Royals to serve their respective communities.
CAL Networking Reception with Pre-Law Society Students
On March 1, the Council of Alumni Lawyers (CAL) hosted a networking reception with Pre-Law Society students at The Orange Lawn Tennis Club in South Orange, New Jersey.
Royals 2 Royals
In February, scores of alumni returned to campus to network with current students at Royals 2 Royals, a new event sponsored by The Alumni Society and The Roche Family Center for Career Development.
The 2024 Scholarship Brunch

Shamrockin’ Eve 2024
In March, nearly 600 recent grads returned to campus to celebrate the 14th Annual Shamrockin’ Eve with more than 400 members of the Class of 2024.
5.06 Raises More Than $550,000 For University Causes
On May 6, more than 2,500 alumni, parents and friends of the University celebrated 5.06.24, Scranton’s 10th annual Day of Giving, by raising more than $550,000 for a wide variety of campus causes, including scholarships, athletics and service programs. As part of the celebration, the University partnered with Valley in Motion, a local nonprofit, for The Office 5K Season Three, which was held in downtown Scranton on May 4. Joseph Kilpatrick ’27, a member of the Men’s Cross Country and Track and Field teams, won the race, proving once again that there “ain’t no party like a Scranton party, ‘cause a Scranton party don’t stop.”
