The University implemented a vaccine requirement for the return of in-person classes and activities for the fall 2021 semester. More than 150 University nursing students and a dozen Nursing Department faculty members volunteered to administer thousands of doses of COVID-19 vaccines in the Scranton area in spring.
“I think this is a really important thing to do,” said nursing student Kathryn Antonawich. “The pandemic has affected so many people, so I wanted to do my part to help out.”
In September, the University announced that more than 96 percent of its students, faculty and staff who are on campus for the fall semester were fully vaccinated.
